Born in the vibrant city of Lusaka, Zambia, in 1967, Jack Avon’s story began surrounded by the warmth of African sun and community. At the tender age of nine, life took a twist, and Jack’s family moved to Ilminster in Somerset, England. This transition marked the beginning of Jack's extraordinary journey, one that would lead him across continents and into the realms of literature. In 1977, his adventurous spirit was further ignited when his family settled in Hong Kong. Attending Peak School, Jack immersed himself in a rich tapestry of cultures that would inspire his creativity for years to come. His education continued at Clayesmore Preparatory School in Dorset in 1978, followed by Clayesmore Senior School in 1980. It was during these formative years that Jack discovered his love for storytelling, often weaving tales that captivated his classmates. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, Jack pursued higher education in Finance and IT at Bournemouth University and Royal Holloway, University of London. His expertise in financial modeling took him around the globe, where he applied his skills in various industries. Despite his professional success, Jack’s heart remained drawn to writing, a passion that began to flourish in 2013 when he published his first technical book. Jack’s writing journey has become a beautiful intertwining of his career and creativity. Since 2023, he has embraced the genre of historical fiction, pouring his heart into epic narratives that transport readers to different eras. Inspired by the battles he has faced in his life, particularly his journey with dyslexia, Jack's writing serves as both a form of expression and a testament to resilience.
